The current day Hemet San Jacinto Valley Chamber of Commerce has roots in the community all the way back to 1919 with the City of San Jacinto Chamber of Commerce.  In 1920 the City of Hemet established a Chamber of Commerce with its first President, Irwin Farrar leading the organization.  Move forward to 1999 and the two original Chambers of Commerce joined together as one unifying the Valley business community.

Today the combined Hemet San Jacinto Valley Chamber of Commerce membership amounts to almost 500 members from throughout the region meeting the needs of the business community. Getting through the pandemic was difficult, but learning to work, collaborate and support each other virtually helped move us forward. Here we are today, back in person! (We missed you!)

People join a Chamber of Commerce for different reasons. Some people want the chance to network with other business and community leaders. Some welcome the publicity that active involvement in Chamber activities can generate for their business. Some people want the opportunity to have a role in community affairs or obtain tools to support their success.  The Hemet San Jacinto Valley Chamber of Commerce works hard to help the members achieve any and all of these objectives.

The Chamber has a core of active board of directors, volunteers and staff who are committed to fulfilling the Mission of the Chamber. Through their participation, they achieve, and help other members achieve, the objectives listed above. This team lead and serve on the key committees and task forces. The Chamber’s programs are divided into five major categories: Economic Development, Membership Development, Community Services, Business Training Resources and Events.

The Chamber of Commerce website and office team are full of information and tools designed to assist visitors, local residents and business people.
